Middletown, RI - Eugene Coulter, 51, of 24 Buck Road Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Rhode Island Hospital Providence, RI.He was the husband of Frances A. Dorsey Coulter of Middletown, RI. Born in Harrison Township, PA on February 9, 1953, he was the son of Alberta Adamik Coulter Smith of Apollo, PA and the late Arthur L. Coulter. Mr. Coulter attended Roger Williams University and graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. After the Navy Mr. Coulter became an attorney, practicing privately. Mr. Coulter was a coach and manager for the Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth Little League. He was an Assistant Attorney General under Arlene Violet, Justice of the Peace for Newport County and was also the Chief Legal Council for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his son Sean-Michael Dorsey Coulter of Friedburg, Germany and currently Baghdad, Iraq, his daughter Jessica-Patrice Dorsey Simes of Scott Air Force Base, IL, his brother David Coulter of Lower Burrell, PA, his sister Lisa Ann Coulter of Vandergrift, PA, and three grandchildren. His funeral will be held on Friday, March 12, 2004, at 3:00PM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
