Eugene E. Beaumont Sr

Eugene E. Beaumont, Sr., 85, of 3 Maitland Court, Newport, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA and Honolulu, Hawaii for 16 years, died Monday, June 3, 2002 at Village House Nursing Home, Harrison Avenue, Newport, RI.He was the husband of the late Frances Gaizauskas Beaumont. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 5, 1917, he was the son of the late Edward and Victoria Vogle Beaumont.Mr. Beaumont moved to the Newport area in August of 2001. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Beaumont worked as an electrical assembler supervisor for Allis-Chambers in Pittsburgh until his retirement after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Elks in Honolulu and a life time member of the Musicians Union Local 60-471 in Pittsburgh. He preformed with various jazz bands playing tenor sax. He is survived by two sons Harry Beaumont of Newport, RI, and Eugene Beaumont Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, three Granddaughters, and two Great Grandchildren. Entombment will take place in Northside Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Village House Activity Fund, 70 Harrison Avenue, Newport, RI 02840.
