Eugene "Joey" Sullivan

Eugene "Joey" Sullivan, Jr., 46, of Newport died Friday, April 15, 2016 unexpectedly at home. Born on April 28, 1969 in Newport, RI, he was the son of Eugene J. "Joe" Sullivan of Lake Worth, FL and the late Ruthann (Haught) Sullivan. Joey grew up on Carey Street and graduated from Rogers High School in 1987. He began work with the former Industrial National Bank, Fleet and finally Citizens Bank. He moved on to work for Enterprise Rental Car and went to South Carolina for a few years with Hertz. Most recently he was working for the Inns of Newport. Joey may have moved around the Island a lot but he remained a 5th Warder, and Irish Charmer, who would light up any room when he entered it, always making everyone laugh.Besides his father, he is survived by his siblings, Jeffrey M.
