Eugenia Roy

Newport, RI - Eugenia Grauer Roy, 84, of 41 Garfield Street, Newport, formerly of Orlando, FL, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Gilbert Roy. Born in Newport, RI on February 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Rose P. McCann Grauer. Mrs. Roy worked in the Human Resource Department for the Army, Navy and Air Force as a clerk from 1956 to 1968. She also worked for the Navy Exchange in Orlando, FL as a clerk for 10 years, retiring in 1978. Mrs. Roy was an avid gardener. She is survived by her brother John F. Grauer Jr. of Newport, RI, fourteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.She was the sister of the late William P. Grauer, Louis C.J. Grauer, Helen Newman and Rosemary Nardolillo. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2004, at 12:00PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
