Eva Viera Lima, 91, of the Grand Islander Health Care Center, 333 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI, formerly of 265 Freeborn Street, Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Macy A. Lima. Born in Little Compton, RI, on January 13, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Hortense Almeida Viera.Mrs. Lima worked doing housekeeping at the Portsmouth Priory and she also worked as a companion and care giver in private service in Randolph, MA. She was a Communicant of St. Anthonys Church and a member of the Portsmouth Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her son Richard Lima of Tiverton, RI, her daughter Rita Ann Heck of Tamarac, FL, her step daughters Beatrice Valiquette of Fall River, MA, Evelyn Moretti of Palm Beach, FL, and Lorraine Woodkirk of IL, her brothers Alfred Viera of FL, Eugene Viera of Middletown, RI, James Viera and Benjamin Viera both of Portsmouth, RI, her sisters Olive Gomes of Bristol, RI, Estrella Miley of Tiverton, RI, and Eleanor Silvia of FL, and Josephine Viera, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was the step mother of the late Irene Reid and sister of the late William Viera, Manuel Viera, Joseph Viera, and Angelina Fava.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 9:00am, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007, from 2-4 nad 7-9 pm, in the Connors Funeral Home.
