Eva Veronica Shelton

MIDDLETOWN, RI - Eva Veronica Harris Shelton, of 10 Orchard Avenue Middletown, RI died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Forest Farm Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late T. Judson Lambert, Ben F. Jones and Donald J. Shelton. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Eva Levesque Harris. Eva was a graduate of St. Josephs High School in Newport. After her graduation she went to Mass General Hospital for her training as a nurse. She had worked as a nurse at the Regional Naval Medical Center and retired from Newport Hospital after working there for 20 years in 1987. Eva was a communicant of St. Marys Church in Newport and was a former member of the Mass General Hospital Nurses Association. She was also a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the VFW Womens Auxillary. She is survived by her sisters Nona M. Busch of Newport, RI, Fay M. Allen of Middletown, RI and Jeannette Norris of Mathiston, MS, her granddaughter Eva Kuhl of Folsom, CA, her grandson Christopher Lambert of California, three great grandsons, Shane, Bradley and Wade Kuhl all of Folsom, CA and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Charles T. Lambert and her brother Charles T. Harris. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 25, 2005, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM in St. Mary?s Church, Williams Spring Street, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
