Newport, - Evelyn Elaine Kuiee Echevarria, 53, of 35 Edgar Court Newport, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center Providence, RI. Born in Newport, RI on December 13, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Benjamin Kuiee and Edith Mildred Sprague Kuiee.Mrs. Echevarria was a native of Newport. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1967. She worked as an assistant at the Extra Mart Sunoco on Memorial Boulevard, at the Admiral Farragut Inn as the Inn Keeper on Clarke St., the former Strike Zone as a cook on East Main Road and the former Pit-N-Patio on Bellevue Avenue, as Head Cook. She is survived by four sons Modesto Echevarria Jr. of Newport, RI, Mike Echevarria of Westport, CT, Al Echevarria of Portsmouth, RI, and Jason Thompson of Orlando, FL, her step son Chris Echevarria of Tiverton, RI, her daughter Cinnamon Thompson of Newport, RI, seven brothers Robert Sonny Kuiee of Newport, RI, Leroy Kuiee of CO, Andrew Kuiee of Newport, RI, Johnny Kuiee of CO, Benjamin Kuiee of SC, William Kuiee of Kingston, RI and Jack Kuiee of Middletown, RI, two sisters Mildred Kuiee of Newport, RI, and Emily Walther of WA, and four grandchildren.A Prayer service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at 7:00PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be private.
