Evelyn Loretta Baer, 71, of Newport died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.She was the wife of Ronald C. Baer.Born on April 22, 1944 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Ann P. (Partridge) Wills. Evelyn worked at the Newport Hospital in the registration department, retiring after 21 years. After retiring she was a caregiver to the elderly and those with special needs. She co-owned with her sister Mary, Buttons and Bows and Second Hand Clothes in Coventry RI. She also had a home based business Coastal Designs. Besides her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her children, Stephanie Moniz and her husband Jay of Newport, RI, Sandra Baer of Newport, RI, Shelley D'Andrea and her husband Mark of North Kingstown, RI, Susan Kosegarten and her husband Joel of Middletown, RI, and Stephen Baer of Newport, RI, her siblings, Arlene LaPage of Cotuitt, MA, Ann Soares of Swansea, MA, Mary DiMarzo of Wakefield, RI, Robert Wills of Somerset, MA, and Elizabeth Gray of Silver Lake, NH and her grandchildren, Breyanna Baer, Kierstin Kosegarten, George (Jay) Moniz, Emma Baer-Barlow, Mia D'Andrea , Magleny Vasquez and Manuel Vasquez.She was the sister of the late James Wills and Theresa Wills. She was most proud when sharing time with her loved ones gathered together telling stories and laughing. Some of her favorite past times were vacationing in New Hampshire and Florida, family cook-outs and celebrating holidays with her family and friends. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren at the beach, and taking spontaneous road trips with her husband.
