Evelyn T. Caron Cox, 77, of 4 McKenna Drive, Middletown, CT, formerly of East Bay Village, Newport, RI, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT. She was the wife of the late Henry P. Cox. Born in Fall River, MA, on February 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Daniel A. and Emily Oliver Caron.Mrs. Cox had attended St. Josephs Church when in the Newport Area. She loved her pets, ?Longfellow? her dachshund and ?Midnight? her cat. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Tarpey of Middletown, CT , her brother Daniel A. Caron of Stoughton, MA, her sisters Dorothy T. Sprague and Alice M. Loftus both of Newport, RI, her grandchildren Sara A. Cox of Peterborough, NH, Kelli A. Sweetland of Rocky Hill, CT, Joseph F. Sweetland III of Summerville, SC, Scott T. Sweetland of Portsmouth, RI, Amy L. Sweetland of New Britain, CT, Angelique M. Aubin of Plainfield, CT, Donald G. Bechtel of Durham, NC, and Danielle A. Petsa and Patrick H. Bechtel of Columbia, CT, her great-grandchildren Ryan LaFrancis of Rocky Hill, CT, Joseph F. Sweetland IV of Summerville, SC, Kerrick M. Sweetland of Norfolk, VA, Mikayla Aubin and Michael Aubin of Plainfield, CT, Katherine Bechtel of Durham, NC and Alexis Petsa, Patrick Bechtel and Zachary Bechtel of Columbia, CT. She was the mother of the late Daniel A. Cox and Dorothy A. Bechtel and sister of the late Francis J. Caron. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 9:00a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006, from 4-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
