Everett T. Silvia

Everett T. Silvia, 77, of 658 Middle Road, Portsmouth, died Friday, August 9, 2002 at the Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI.He was the husband of Frances Virgadamo Silvia. Born in East Taunton, MA, on January 19, 1925, he was the son of the late Antone and Mary Travers Silvia. Mr. Silvia had worked as a cabler with Kaiser Aluminum over 32 years. Mr. Silvia worked at the Newport Hospital before entering the service. He was a medic in the US Army and participated in the invasion of Normandy during WWII. Besides his wife he is survived by one son Paul Silvia of Newport, RI, one daughter Maryrose Silvia of Portsmouth, RI, one sister Hazel Giles of Indianapolis, IN, a sister in law Lillian Hanson of Las Vegas, NV, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at 9:00AM, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
