Middletown, RI - Florence B. Page Calarese, 95, of 303 Valley Road, Middletown, formerly of Cumberland, RI, and wintered in Sun City Center, FL, until moving to the Newport area in 1980, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of Joseph T. Calarese. Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 27, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Ida Lavallee Page. Mrs. Calarese with her husband owned and operated the former Francine Shops of New England, in Woonsocket, Cape Cod and New Castle, NH. When she lived in Cumberland she was a member of St. Joan of Arc where she was active in most of the church activities. She was a former member of KIRKBRAE Country Club of Lincoln, RI. She was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church. Besides her husband of 67 years she is survived by her daughter Francine Lucci of Portsmouth, RI, and four grandchildren, Lisa Masse of Richmond, RI, Anthony Lucci of Sagamore Beach, MA, David Lucci of Portsmouth, RI, and Peter Lucci of East Providence, RI.She was the sister of the late Paul C. Page and Madeline Page.A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2004, at 1:00PM in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket, RI. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2004, at 10:00AM, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway, Newport. Donations in her memory may be made to the Middletown Rescue Wagon Fund, 239 Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
