Floyd E. Thomas

Portsmouth, RI - Floyd E. Thomas, 94, of 1194 Anthony Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at home. He was the husband of Helen A. Wilbour Thomas. Born in Indianapolis, IN on October 31, 1913, he was the son of the late William and Della Larkin Thomas.Mr. Thomas was a machinist who was a master mold maker for General Electric inTaunton, MA from 1945 to 1958. He worked at the torpedo station on Goat Island for 8 1/2 years serving his apprenticeship. Mr. Thomas also played the violin for the Musical Orchestra in Taunton, MA, and was a life member of St. Pauls Masonic Lodge #114 in Middletown, RI. He was the brother of the late Viola Thomas.His funeral will be private.
