Frances A. Jagschitz

New Bedford, - Frances ?Fran? Ruggeri Jagschitz, 79, of 129 Ruggles Avenue New Bedford, formerly of Mann Avenue, Newport, died Friday, November 15, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Louis L. Jagschitz, ?Louie the Lobsterman.? Born in Newport, RI on November 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Raphael and Jennie Sardella Ruggeri.Mrs. Jagschitz ?Fran? worked as a telphone operator for the New England Telephone Company. She also owned and operated Louies Bait Shop with ther husband for over 30 years. She also was employed as a file clerk for Moore, Virgadamo, Boyle Lynch and as a bookkeeper for the Newport Motor Inn. After her retirement she went to work for her son Ralph at Petrageous in Middletown. She is survived by two sons August L. Jagschitz of Newport, RI, and Ralph A. Jagschitz of Jamestown, RI, her daughter Carol Tara Nunes of Portsmouth, RI, her brother Victor Ruggeri of Newport, RI, her sister Mary Ruggeri Winters of Middletown, RI, her daughter in-law Marie Jagschitz of Jamestown, RI, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and three brother-in-laws.She was the mother of the late Louis L. Jagschitz Jr. and the sister of the late Josephine Ruggeri Bradfield and Ralph Ruggeri of Oklahoma. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002, at 8:00am, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00am, in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, Rhode Island Affiliate, 40 Broad Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
