Frances C. Butler Glover, 83, of 21-B Pond Avenue, Newport, RI, formerly of Kingston Avenue, died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of James Glover of Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on January 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Iva White Butler. Mrs. Glover worked at the Torpedo Station during WWII. She was an avid puzzle maker and enjoyed find-a-word puzzles. Mrs. Glover also enjoyed watching golf on television. She was a member of the VFW womens auxillary and also a member of The Community Baptist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by her children Jack Weston of Columbus, GA, Laurence ?Larry? B. Glover of Middletown, RI, James A. Glover and George Glover Sr. both of Newport, RI, Russell E. Glover of Bellevue, NE, Cynthia Munford of Warren, RI, Gloria C. Glover-Fowlkes of Jacksonville, FL, Ella L Glover of Columbus, OH, and Alfreda Siah of Anchorage, AK, her brothers Laurence Butler of Newport, RI, Emmett R. Butler of Middletown, RI, Joseph Butler of Boston, MA, her sisters Gertrude Johnson of Middletown, RI, Paula Butler of San Diego, CA, and her thirty four grandchildren and forty four great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jhn Glover and the sister of the late John W. Butler, Robert Butler, George Butler, Lillian Johnson and Iva Starnes. Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 28, 2005, at 11:00am in the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., Newport, RI.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park.Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 27, 2005, from 7-9pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
