Frances Shea

Portsmouth, RI - Frances Heilig Shea, 89, of 121 Bristol Ferry Road Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at home.She was the wife of the late John Joseph Shea. Born in Chinook, MT on December 1, 1913, she was the daughter of the late George Joseph and Anna Marie Griefe Heilig.Mrs. Shea worked as a secretary for Alexander Berman in Hampstead, NY in his private practice and later when he was State Supreme Court Judge for 25 years. She is survived by her niece Evelyn Marano of Portsmouth, RI, and her grandnephew Geoffrey Marano of Portsmouth, RI.She was the sister of the late Evelyn H. Solmo.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2003, at 9:00AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at in St.10: AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 11:00AM, in the Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale, NY.
