Frances Watson Ferreira

Middletown, RI - Frances Marian Watson Ferreira, 66, of 148 Newport Avenue, Middletown, died Monday, July 19, 2004 at Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of Joseph John Ferreira Sr. Born in Newport, RI on Nov. 5, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Rosewell M. Watson and the late Frances P. Anthony Watson. A graduate of Rogers High School, Mrs. Ferreira worked for number of years as a secretary for Kirby Insurance in Newport, before leaving in 1966 to become a full time homemaker and mother. In recent years, she worked as a Middletown poll worker during local, State and Federal elections. Mrs. Ferreira was an avid quilter and enjoyed creating many quilts and pillows for family and friends. She is survived by her husband Joseph John Ferreira Sr. of Middletown, RI, her son Joseph John Ferreira Jr. of North Attleboro, MA, her daughter Jamie Ann Meeks of Middletown, RI, a brother Richard Watson of Siesta Key, FL, a sister Sandra Anslee Silvia of Middletown, RI, and two grandsons Craig Michael Meeks and Kyle Justin Meeks of Middletown, RI. Her funeral will be held Friday July 23, 2004 at 11:00am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.
