Middletown, RI - Francine Jennings Lewis, 65, of 54 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Friday, September 9, 2011, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.She was the wife of Frank Lewis for over thirty-five years. Born in Newport, RI on December 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Jennie Sullivan Jennings.Francine enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, reading, photography, taking care of her granddaughter and a good laugh. Francine worked in the Media Relations department for over 35 years at Raytheon Corporation in Portsmouth. She was a graduate of Rogers High School in Newport, RI and a former member of All Vets. A loving wife and loyal friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott Francis Lewis and his partner Rebecca Parker of Newport, RI, her daughter Kerri Kathleen Lewis of Middletown, RI, her granddaughter Renee Lewis of Middletown, her cousin Kathleen Murphy of Portsmouth, her cousins the Richardson Family of Middletown and close family friend Carrie Seiberling of Norton, MA. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00am, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in her honor to the Middletown Police or Fire Department Union Representative.
