Francis A. Peterson

Francis A. Peterson, Jr. - of 49 Oakwood Road, Middletown, RI died Saturday April 26, 2008 in the Newport Hospital.Born in Newport on October 24, 1934, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Laura Boiani Peterson.Mr. Peterson was an accountant for the State of Rhode Island for many years. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed old movies, radio shows, cooking and flea markets. He will be remembered for taking care of his parents, especially his mother these past few years.He was the beloved father of Elizabeth L. Bentley of Jewett City, CT, Erica L. Peterson of Seminole, FL and Cara A. Peterson of Georgetown, TX. He also leaves behind his brother Arthur P. Peterson of Kendall, FL. Mr. Peterson was the beloved grandfather of Catherine E. Bentley of Griswold, CT, Christopher M. Bentley and Collin M. Bentley both of Brooklyn, NY, Dillon W. Reinhard and Quentin B. Reinhard both of Seminole, FL, Pamela J. Sullivan and Sean A. Sullivan both of Newport, RI and Timothy G. Matthews II of Leander, TX and great grandfather of Olivia Forbes of Griswold, CT.Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport.Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 - 11:00am.Burial will take place in St. Columba Cemetery Middletown.Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942
