Francis Antone, Jr

Newport, RI - Francis Antone, Jr., 67, of 19 Ranger Road, Newport, RI, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at home. Born in Newport, RI on June 19, 1942, he was the son of the late Francis and Laura Lessa Antone.Mr. Antone, known as Butch to many, worked as a security guard at the Newport Naval Base and for Salve Regina University. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. He is survived by three sons Mark Antone of Providence, RI, David Ezell of Bristol, RI, Brandon Ezell of Newport, RI, and a daughter Dana Ezell of Newport, RI and four grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Robert Antone of Florida and a sister Carol Antone of Providence, RI.His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009, beginning with calling hours at 10:00am and followed by a funeral service at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private.
