Frank J. Lalli Portsmouth, - Frank J. Lalli, 83, of 56 Lowell Drive, Portsmouth, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI, after a 13 year battle with Parkinsons.He was the husband of Margaret T. Mullian Lalli, who had been married for 56 years. Born in Newport, RI, on December 18, 1920, he was the son of the late P. Joseph and Bertha Borjesson Lalli. Mr. Lalli had worked as a real estate agent and was associated with McKinney Real Estate for many years and later Aquidneck Realty. He invested in various real estate ventures both in commercial and residential. Mr. Lalli had also been the owner and operator of Lallis Variety Store until 1952. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII. He had served in five campaigns, including Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland. He was a member of the Battle of Normandy Foundation, the Newport Historical Society, the Newport Preservation Society, the Newport Tax Payers Association, the Newport County Board of Realtors, and the Broadway Business and Professionals Group. He is survived by one son Frank J. Lalli Jr., of Middletown, RI, two daughters Margaret Francine Harmon of Tiverton, RI, and Katherine Jones of North Kingstown, RI, and six grandchildren.His funeral will be held on Friday, July 16, at 8:00 AM from the Hambly Funeral Home, ?Brick House?, 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.
