Frederick James

Newport, RI - Frederick G. Mike James, 83, of 22 Pearl Street, Newport, RI, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Newport Hospital.Born in Newport, RI on February 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Annie Deshields James.Mr. James served in the United States Navy. He worked as an Electrician at the Naval Construction Battalion Center. He is survived by his brothers Edward C. James, Jr. of Newport, RI, Ralph A. James of Middletown, RI, George W. James of New York and Stanley K. James of Massachusetts, his sister Anna May James of Newport, RI and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul James, Kenneth James and Henrietta James. His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 12:00 pm in Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport.Burial with Military Honors will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 10:00am, in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, from 11-12 in the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport.
