Fredisvindo Oliquino Bebe

On November 28, 2021, Fredisvindo O. Bebe Sr., 85, of Newport, passed away peacefully at home. "Fred" as he was known by family and friends was born in Tabaco-Albay, Philippines. Fred was a veteran of the US Military where he served 20 years in the United States Navy. He then served active military personnel through the Civil Service for 15 years. Fred is a lifetime member of the Filipino American Association where he once served as president. He is also a devoted member of The Knights of Columbus. As a fourth degree brother knight, he served on the honorable color guard and more. As an only child, Fred is predeceased by his parents the late Leandro Bebe and Paula (Oliquino) Bebe, both of the Philippines. He is also predeceased by his late loving wife, Ethel G. (Eisenhaur) Bebe of Pennsylvania. Sr. Fred is survived by his 4 children, Fredisvindo O. Bebe Jr. of Tiverton, RI; Leandrea M.E.(Bebe) Traynum of Norfolk, VA; Nicole A. (Bebe) Scott of Newport, RI; Stefan O. Bebe of Newport, RI; and their spouses, Imelda(Andaya) Bebe; David A. Traynum Sr.; and Allen "Monty" Scott. Blessed with grace to share in the lives of his 11 grandchildren and 4 great children Fred is survived by his grandchildren, Cameron Traynum, Jordan Traynum, Savanna (Bebe) Jones, Stefan Bebe Jr., Ciara Traynum, Marquise Scott, Christina(Bebe) Silva, Danika Bebe, Talia Scott, Fredisvindo Bebe III, Nenita Bebe, and his 4 great grandchildren, Sereniti Traynum, Declan Jones, Stefan Bebe III, and Rowan Jones. The family welcomes visitation on Friday, December 10th 2021 starting at 10:00 am at The Memorial Funeral Home located at 375 Broadway Newport, Rhode Island. Visiting time is set for 10:00 - 11:30 am followed by a service of prayer, reflection, song, and Catholic rituals at beginning at 11:30AM. In lieu of graveside services, invitations are extended to attend a prayer and military honors service in the chapel at St. Columba's Cemetery in Middletown, Rhode Island.
