Gail Ann Johnson

Middletown, RI - Gail Ann Barry Johnson, 60, of Buck Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of Jamestown, RI and Chesapeake, VA, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the former wife of Gordon Johnson, Sr. of Newport. Born in Wakefield, RI on February 24, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Florence Magargel Barry.Gail worked as a Title Administrator for 15 years at Greenbrier Chrysler in Chesapeake, VA and at the Newport Auto Center until her recent illness. She also worked at St. Lucys Hearth in Middletown. Gail was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her son, Gordon Johnson, Jr. of Middletown, RI, her daughter, Alicia Jones and her husband Theodore of Warren, RI, her grandsons, Tre and Tevin Jones, her brother, Donald Barry of New York, her sister, Carolyn Knapp of CT, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Phyllis Layne Piva. Her Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 10:00 am in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown.
