Gary Libby

Gary E. Libby, Sr., 66, of Portsmouth died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Ann (Jenkins) Libby.Born on December 27, 1946 in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Alfred L. and Lyla A. (Champlin) Libby. Mr. Libby served in the Army National Guard of Rhode Island for 6 years. He also was an owner of Lazars Package Store for many years and later was manager of Goode Spirit. He was a lifetime member of Sakonnet Sportsman Club, a former golfer and a former member of Green Valley Country Club. The best part of his days were being with the apple of his eye his grandson TJ, watching old movies and just simply hanging out.Besides his wife Ann, he is survived by his son Gary E. Libby Jr. and his wife Tory of Middletown, RI, his daughter Holly Libby Mello and her husband Todd of Newport, RI, his grandson TJ Mello of Newport, his brother Alan D.
