George A. Samways ?Sam? Newport, RI - George A. Samways, 84, of Newport, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, R.I. He was the husband of the late Isaline Rodda Samways. Born in Providence, RI on February 24, 1920, he was the son of the late George Alford Samways and the late Elizabeth Boyd Samways. Mr. Samways retired from the Maintenance Department of Thompson Jr. High School, Newport.He enjoyed boating, mortorcycles and antique cars. He is survived by his brother Alfred Samways of Seekonk, Massachusetts A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 11 at 10:00am in Trinity Church, Queen Anne Square, Newport.
