George D. Haney Sr

MIDDLETOWN, RI - George D. Haney Sr., 102, of John Clarke Retirement Center, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of Mumford Manor, 39 Farewell Street, Newport, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at John Clarke Retirement Center. He was the husband of the late Bernice M.Greene Haney. Born in Culpepper, Virginia on October 25, 1903.Mr. Haney was a boiler operator for the Newport Gas Company for 30 years. He is survived by his children George D. Haney of Rochester, NY, Joanne Cohen of Newport, RI, and Ellen Hogan of Middletown, RI, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his late son Donald E. Haney. His funeral service will be held on Thursday December 22, 2005 at 9:00AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held from 6-8PM on Wednesday December 21, 2005 in the funeral home.
