George R. Proffitt

Tiverton, RI - George R. Proffitt, 81, of 340 King Road, Tiverton, RI, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA. He was born in Providence, RI on June 14, 1930 the son of the late George R. and Camilla O. Allen Proffitt.George was a member of the Middletown Senior Center, the Little Compton Community Center and the Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church. He loved music, boats, and baseball especially when he could attend the games. He is survived by all of his friends at Looking Upwards, his longtime friend and advocate Thomas Lake of Bristol, RI and all of his caring support staff.Services will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2011 11:30am at the Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church in Tiverton.
