Middletown, RI - Gerald Chip G. Marks, 35, of 529 Nash Road, New Bedford, RI, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, MA after a long courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Born in Newport, RI on September 27, 1972, he was the most beloved son of Audrey Lauder Taylor and step son of Ross Taylor of Portsmouth, RI.Chip was a 1992 graduate of Middletown High School and graduated in 2004 from Catherine Gibbs Criminal Justice Program. He enjoyed computers and worked as a disc jockey for many years. Besides his mother and step father he is survived by his girlfriend Holli Tkacs of New Bedford, MA, his brothers Edward Marks and his wife Jamie Lynn and David Marks and his wife Kathleen of Fall River, MA and Timothy Marks of Portsmouth, RI, his grandfather Bernard Lauder of Middletown, RI, and aunt Karen Carruba of Newport, RI, three uncles, Kenneth Lauder of Middletown, RI, Donald Lauder of Portsmouth, RI and Keith Lauder of Ellendale, ND, two nieces Eliza and Ava Marks, a nephew Liam Marks and many cousins. He was also the grandson of the late Barbara Lauder.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 11:00 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008, from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
