Geraldine Izzo

Geraldine Izzo of Trinity Nursing Home Woonsocket, R.I. died January 20, 2012 at the Our Lady of Fatima Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born December 7, 1942 in Fall River MA., Geraldine was the daughter of the late Joseph Rego and Germaine Rego Archambault. Geraldine grew up on Aquidneck Island and graduated from the former St. Catherine Academy of Newport, RI. She worked as a secretary at Peckham Oil Co. and the Naval War College. She is survived by her sister Antoinette Carvalho Rego and her husband Gerald of Narragansett, R.I., her brothers Norbert Rego and Gregory Rego of Portsmouth, R.I., Gary Rego and his wife Kim of Virginia Beach, VA, and her two daughters Deborah and Janice both of Vineland, NJ. She was also the aunt to ten nieces and nephews and ten grand nieces and nephews. Her family gives special thanks to all that helped Geraldine over the many years, and for the love and care she received while convalescing in the nursing homes and hospitals. Funeral Arrangements will be private at the request of the family. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Anthony Church, Portsmouth, RI in April.
