Gerda M. Marek

Newport, RI - Gerda M. Buppelmann Marek, 85, of 28D Earl Avenue, Newport, RI, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown.She was the beloved wife of the late Adolf H. Marek. She leaves two daughters Renate R. Marek and Hildburg Susan McAuliffe. She was the grandmother Oma of the late Peter Bowler, Jr. and Steffanie M. Perry. She was the proud great granamother of Jake Peter Perry.Her passion was her garden, having won six awards from Newport in Bloom, for her Senior Garden starting in 1995. She loved to dance and read.She was known as Oma to everyone who knew her and was loved by all.
