Gerhard Ferdinand Busche

Middletown, RI - Gerhard "Gerry" F. Busche, 84, of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Gerry or "Opa" as many new him, was born in Wernigerode, East Germany, on September 6, 1929, he was the son of the late Fredrich and Emma (Tiebolh) Busche. Gerry was a State Trooper in Germany for 8 years. He immigrated to Newport the winter of 1958 with his family and had resided in Newport. Many will remember Gerry as the German Fisherman who always had a funny story. He leaves his children, 9 grandchildren and 7great grandchildren, who will deeply miss him.The service will be private.
