Delight G. Pimentel, of Portsmouth died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown, RI. Mrs. Pimentel was born December 27, 1936 in Portsmouth, RI. She is the daughter of the late Manuel C and the late Gertrude May (Bettencourt) Sousa. She was married to Manuel Pimentel for 56 years.Delight's name truly fit her personality; she was a joy to be around. Everyone, whom she met, quickly became her friend. Delights greatest happiness was the love that she had for her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.She is survived by her husband, Manuel Pimentel , her daughter: Lori Arruda and her husband John, of Tiverton, RI, her brother Robert Sousa of Portsmouth, RI, and her two grandchildren,, Joshua M Arruda of Portsmouth, RI, and Amber D Arruda of Tiverton, RI.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday May27, 2015 from 5-9pm in the Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road in Portsmouth, RIHer funeral will be held on Thursday May 28, 2015 at 9:00am from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Anthony's Church 2836 East Main Road Portsmouth.Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Portsmouth on Thursday, May 28 at 11:30 am.
