Gertrude T. O'Loughlin

Gertrude T. OLoughlin, 88, died on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the John Clarke Retirement and Nursing Center in Middletown.Born in Portsmouth, RI on March 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Marion Gibson OLoughlin.Gertrude enjoyed spending time with her cousins, and her friends and the staff at the John Clarke Retirement Center.She is survived by her sister-in-law, Iolanda OLoughlin of Middeltown, RI; and her nieces and nephews, Marie, Peter, John, Susan, Thomas and Stephen. She was the sister of the late Francis J. and Robert G. OLoughlin.Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10:30 am from Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Joseph Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport, RI. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 9:30-10:30 am in the funeral home just prior to the Funeral Mass.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Church, 5 Mann Avenue, Newport, RI 02840.
