Gladys M. Rogers

Newport, RI - Gladys M. Rogers, passed away peacefully at Newport Hospital following a sudden illness. Her family was with her at the time of her death Born in Newport, RI on October 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Gladys Segerson Rogers.Gladys was a resident of the Jamari Group Home in Newport for the past 28 years and recently moved to Wood Street in Bristol. Gladys was a sweet and loving person and made many friends throughout her short life. She is survived by her brother James OConnell, her sister-in-law Judith OConnell, her niece Tracey Marino and grand nephew J. J. Mario and many, many loving cousins.A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 10:00am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be private.
