Glen Rehm

Newport, RI - Glen J. Rehm, 60, of Coggeshall Avenue, Newport, died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Newport Hospital in Newport. Born in Portsmouth, NH on August 14, 1947, he was the son of Elaine Ballou Rehm of Kittery, ME and the late Walter Rehm.Mr. Rehm was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War era. He worked for 34 years at the Naval War College retiring as a manager. During his tenure he received many awards and commendations. Glen was a longtime member of the Newport Lodge No. 104 - BPO Elks, was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to benefit others and his community. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Gregory K. Rehm of Seattle, WA, his daughter, Laurie L. Skinner of Summerville, SC, his sister, Judy Knowlton of Acton, MA and his three grandchildren, all of South Carolina. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:00 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
