Gloria P. Little

Gloria P. (Faerber) Little, 87, of Portsmouth passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of John R. "Jack" Little.Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Pryce A. Faerber and Lucy L. Parker.Some of Gloria's fondest memories were of spending summers at Lake Mattawa, New Salem, MA with her family. She was a 1945 graduate of Rogers High School, where she was cheerleader. After high school, she went on to attend Bryant Stratton College. She worked for Johns-Manville in Boston, University of MA-Amherst and then as a secretary for five professors in the math department at Amherst College.She was a member of the Portsmouth United Methodist Church, Portsmouth Garden Club, as well as a member and treasurer for the Hope Branch of the International Sunshine Society.During election years she worked the polls from 1987 to 1994.In addition to her husband she leaves her children, Julie Fisher of Indialantic, FL, Patricia Trifero of Middletown, Wendy Boyd of Cotuit, MA, John R. Little, Jr. of Ada, OK, Paul Little of Ponca City, OK, Deborah Vinson of Allen, OK, Robin Jones of Stillwater, OK, and Laura Hudspeth of Alexandra, LA. Gloria also had fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.She was the mother of the late Chad Harris and sister of the late Marion Carlson.Funeral services will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
