Newport, RI - Grace Agnes Brennan, of St. Clare Home Newport, formerly of 16 Gibbs Avenue, Newport, RI, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Saint Clares Home For Aged Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Michael and Mary Buckley Brennan. Ms. Brennan worked for 33 years as a secretary for the Chief of Naval Operations, on the US Naval Station. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church. She was a caregiver for her brother and sisters. Ms Brennan loved her family, religion and her two dogs Coco and Kerry. She is survived by her sister Lillian C. Landers of Newport, RI, her nephew Dr. Michael J. Brennan Jr. of Newport, RI, four great nephews Lt. Col. Michael J. Brennan III of Germany, Stephen P. Brennan of Bridgewater, MA, Kevin F. Brennan of Sudbury, MA, and Christopher S. Brennan of Watertown, MA, her great niece Susan A. Brennan of Brookline, MA, and her caregiver Anna M. Collins of Middletown, RI. She was the sister of the late Thomas J. Brennan, Michael J. Brennan Sr., Marguerite R. Brennan and Mary T. Brennan. Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 24, 2004, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Clare Home, 309 Spring Street, Newport, RI 02840.
