Grace J. Lynch

Middletown, RI - Grace J. Lynch, 87, of Middletown, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Forest Farm Health Care Center, Middletown, R.I. surrounded by members of her family.She was the wife of the late James F. Lynch USN Retired. Born in New York City on November 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Simeon and Anna Grace Tierney and sister to the late Arthur and Thomas Tierney.She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand children. She was an avid swimmer and traveler. She was the devoted mother of James Lynch and his wife Sarah of Florida, Marianne Lynch of South Carolina and Charles Lynch and his wife Paula of Middletown. She was the loving grandmother and great-grandmother of her grand children Colby, Shannon, Stacey, Tabitha, Kelley and Patrick, and her great-grand children, Raven, Adriena and Frankie, and loving aunt of Laurence and Thomas Tierney.Her funeral will be held on Thursday August 26, 2010 at 9 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.There will be no visiting hours. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI.
