Grace Pauline Tapper

Newport, RI - Grace Pauline Donahue Tapper, 99, formerly of 39 Farewell Street, Newport, RI, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Fred B. Tapper. Born in Newport, RI on October 23, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Abby Greelish Donahue. Mrs. Tapper was a communicant of St. Josephs Church and a member of the Rosary Sodality. She is survived by her daughter in-law Violet Tapper and her grandchildren, Connie Suarez, Patricia Byers, Fred Tapper, and she also leaves six great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Harry Tapper and the sister of the late Loretta McNamara and George Donahue. Her funeral will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2007, from 6-8 in the funeral home.
