Harry Benjamin Jones

Harry Benjamin Jones, 79, of 21 Sherman Street Newport, formerly of Springfield, Massachusetts, died Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI. Born in New York, NY on October 19, 1922, he was the son of the late Harry Jones and Elizabeth Story Canavan.Mr. Jones retired as a postal worker in Springfield, MA and also worked for the City of Springfield museum. He moved to Newport 17 years ago in 1983. He is survived by his daughter Valerie Pearson of Ft. Washington, MD. His funeral will be held on Friday, August 23, 2002, at 12:30PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
