MIDDLETOWN, RI - Hazel L. Twomey Fullerton, 85, of 303 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of 41 Washington Street and 85 Bridge Street, Newport, RI, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late William Henry Fullerton. Born in Newport, RI on December 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius Russell and Elsie Bachellor Twomey.Hazel assisted her husband in the interior decoration business, and she also worked as a legal secretary for the Department of the Navy during World War II and for Judge Sullivan at Newport City Hall. She was a former member of the Redwood Library, the Point Association of Newport and St. Pauls Church. Hazel was an avid reader, seamstress, knitter and crocheter. She is survived by children Stephen B. Fullerton of Long Beach, CA, and Rebecca Anne Fullerton Taniguchi of Oak Park, IL, her sister Marilyn Thearle of Norfolk, VA, and her granddaughter Alexandra Fullerton of New York, NY.Her services will be private. Donations in Hazels memory may be made to the Redwood Library, Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI 02840. Arrangements are by the Hambly Funeral Home, ?Brick House?, 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport.
