Hazel M. Nettleton Enos, 98, of 40 Canton Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Tiverton, RI, died on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Manuel Enos. Born in Bristol, RI on July 22, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Capt. Charles S. and Emily Brotherton Nettleton.Hazel was a retired school teacher, having taught for 38 years. She was in Bristol, RI for 19 years and in Tiverton and Little Compton, RI for 19 years. She was a member of the Portsmouth Senior Center and ?The Forever Young Club.? Hazel was also a 4H leader for 15 years and a former member of the Eastern States Cooperative Extension Service. She served on the Advisory Board and on the County Fair Committees. Hazel was a member of the Bliss Congregational Church in Tiverton, RI. Before her husbands death, during the summers she also helped her husband with their family dairy farm. She is survived by her nephew George Medeiros of Tiverton, RI, her grand nieces Barbara Mucciardi of Dartmouth, MA and Nancy Luz of Little Compton, RI, her dear friends Roland and Laura LaRue of Portsmouth, RI, and many other great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 19 from 5-7pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am, in Connors Funeral Home with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
