Newport, RI - Helen Christine Toner Albro, 59, of 142 Van Zandt Avenue, Newport, RI, formerly of 248 Park Holm, Newport, died Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center, Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on November 28, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Grace Congdon Toner. She was a certified nursing assistant at various local nursing homes and private duty care. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Cherie Toner of Newport, RI, her son Michael Toner and his wife Sherri of Portsmouth, and daughter Kimberly Toner Dizon and her husband Arthur of Newport, RI, her brothers Richard Toner of Middletown, RI, and Frank Toner, Jr. of Middletown, RI and Bonita Springs, FL, her three sisters Margaret Peabody and Anne Gomes both of Newport, RI and Elizabeth Paradise of Portsmouth, RI. She was the grandmother to Michael Rogers, Jr. of Newport, RI, Michael Toner Jr. of Portsmouth, RI, Emily Toner of Portsmouth, RI, Arthur Dizon Jr. of Newport, RI, Austin Dizon of Newport, RI, Adrianna Dizon of Newport, RI, Alexander Dizon of Newport, RI. She was also the Great Grandmother of Mya and Markis Rogers. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held on March 1, 2010, at 11:00am, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00am.
