Helen E. Oliveira

Helen E. Rosa Oliveira, 88, of Rosa Road, Middletown, RI, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 with her family at her side at the Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown.She was wife of the late Louis A. Oliveira who passed away in 1978.Born in Middletown, RI on October 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Domingos C. and Filomena Lacerda Rosa.Mrs. Oliveira was a communicant of St. Lucy Church in Middletown and was a member of St. Lucys Committee. She was a former volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Center.She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Long and her husband James of Tiverton, RI and Linda Moniz and her husband Sonny of Middletown, RI; six grandchildren, Michael Dutra, Stephen Dutra, James Long, Bobbie Long, Tony Moniz and Amanda Moniz; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. She was the mother of the late Robert L. Oliveira and the sister of the late Mary Elsie Vieira and Henry C. Rosa. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10 am in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.Calling hours are respectfully omitted.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Lucys Hearth, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
