Helen G. Perrello

87, of Hillside Avenue, Newport, RI passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at her summer home in Portsmouth.She was the wife of Robert J. Perrello for 64 years.Born in Boston, MA on June 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Agnes Fitzsimmons Buckley.Mrs. Perrello was a member and secretary of the Miantonomi Park Commission and a member of T.R.E.A. She had a wonderful sense of humor and above all else she loved her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Jean-Marie Engstrume of Portsmouth, Kathleen Goncalo of Fall River, MA, Roberta Shaw of Little Compton, RI and Elena Perrello of Bangor ME; and five grandchildren, Erica Goncalo, Justin Shaw, Lauren Quaglia, Casey Quaglia and Chelsea Quaglia. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 9 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Portsmouth. Calling hours will be held Monday, September 7, 2009 from 2-6 pm in the funeral home.
