Helen G. Sullivan

Middletown, RI - Helen G. Kuliga Sullivan, 87, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the John Clarke Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Middletown. She was the former wife of the late Oliver E. Buddy Sullivan. Born in Pawtucket, RI on August 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Monica Mercik Kuliga.Mrs. Sullivan served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Pawtucket, loved Polish dancing, was a very accomplished artist, and an avid reader. She is survived by her son, Edward O. Sullivan and his wife, Christal, of Pawtucket, RI, her daughter, Denise Krzyzek and her husband, Mitch, of Middletown, RI, her sister, Wanda Delahunt of Providence, RI, her grandsons, Mitchell Krzyzek, David E. Krzyzek, Edward O. Sullivan and Joseph E. Sullivan, and her great-granddaughters, Kiara, Bella and Mady Sullivan..She was the sister of the late Henry A. Kuliga. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 12 noon in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the John Clarke Nursing Center, Activities Fund, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
