Helen L. W. Pratt

Middletown, RI - Helen L. (Wetmore) Pratt, 97, of Middletown, RI, passed away on Friday December 19, 2014 at Forest Farm Health Care Center in Middletown. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Pratt Born in Brooklyn, NY on Apr. 14, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Amalia (Tilus) Wetmore.Mrs. Pratt was a 1935 graduate of Rogers High School, a 1939 graduate of RI School of Design and 1940 graduate of Katherine Gibbs. She worked as a secretary and blue print reader at Ocean Techniques Inc., then for Federal Civil Service in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Pratt enjoyed international travel. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Calvary United Methodist Church, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Literary Volunteers of America and she also volunteered in the Newport Education system. She leaves her daughter Amelia "Amy" Pratt of Louisville, KY.She was the mother of the late Stephen Pratt. Her family would like to thank the staff at Forest Farm for the exceptional and loving care that she received while living there.Burial will be private.
