Helen M. Galuska

Middletown, RI - Helen M. (Rackowski) Galuska, 87, of Middletown, died peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Newport Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Fall River, MA on August 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Julius Rackowski and the late Ann (Connors) Rackowski. Mrs. Galuska was a resident of Portsmouth for 60 years. She worked for Pioneer Finishing for over 30 years, retiring in 1992 as an executive secretary. She is survived by her children, Patricia A. Galuska of Newport, Edward J. Galuska of Hernando, FL, and James J. Galuska of Bristol, and her beloved grandson Michael Galuska of Bristol, as well as a niece and several nephews.She was the sister of the late Edward Rackowski, William Rackowski, Ann Botelho and Theresa Marshall.A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main Street Fall River, MA. Her burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the John Clarke Nursing Center, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
