Helen P. Tolderlund

Helen P. Tolderlund, 96, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Middletown, RI, died on April 3, 2008, in Summerfield, FL. She was the wife of the late George H. Tolderlund Jr.Born in Middletown, RI, on February 16, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Julian F. and Florence S. Peckham.Mrs. Tolderlund worked for Peckham Bros. Co. Inc., of Middletown, and Lawton-Hammett Insurance Agency of Newport, for many years. She was a former member of Calvary United Methodist Church, The Middletown Historical Society, Middletown School Committee, Middletown Rotary Anns, Town Howlers Square Dance Club, Preservation Society of Newport County, and the Redwood Library Association.She leaves a daughter Ann T. Cunningham and a son-in-law Richard Cunningham of The Villages, FL, son-in-law Michael Nichols of Ogallala, NE, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the mother of the late Jean T. Nichols, sister of the late Edna Lyon, Martha Sherman, Edward Peckham, Julian Peckham Jr., and grandmother of the late Alexander Y. Cunningham.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL, 34474.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 10:00am, in the Middletown Cemetery, corner of Turner and Wyatt Roads, Middletown.
