Helen Flores Souza NEWPORT, RI - Helen Flores Souza, 91, of 247 Wolcott Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Friday, July 8, 2005, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Anthony G. Souza. Born in East Providence, RI, on December 19, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Louis C. and Mary Paiva Flores.Mrs. Souza was a homemaker and was very devoted to her family. She was a Communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and was a member of the Jesus Saviour Rosary Sodality. She is survived by a daughter Charlotte S. Moniz of Tiverton, RI, two sons Anthony G. Souza and Thomas L. Souza, both of Middletown, RI, a sister Evelyn F. Gill of Middletown, RI, three Grandchildren, Jonathan Sousa, Rebecca Labonte, Bethany Sousa, and three Great Grandchildren, Madison Labonte, Christian Labonte, and Gabrielle Sousa, and two nephews Richard D. Gill of Las Vegas, NV, and Dennis A. Gill of Portsmouth, RI.. She is preceded in death by her sister Elsie F. Mann.Her funeral will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at 9:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 11, 2005, from 4-8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.
